Helping others requires funds and in order to meet our goals for this year, we have developed some really exciting new opportunities for us to not only raise funds, but to grow together as a parish and possibly meet your needs for other things in the process.
Dessert Competition: Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our Baker's Competition a huge success. We truly appreciated everyone coming out to enjoy the goodies and support our youth group efforts. Congratulations to our winner Dorothy Bruining and her now famous Dump Cake! Thank you very much to all of our talented bakers and all of the time, talent and treasure that they put into making their baked goods with love. It was a close race and we couldn't have pulled the day off without you. Thanks to Michelle Colucci, Arleen DePauw,Victor DePauw, Debbie Gordon, Harry Gordon, Paula Hoffman, Brooke Schuldt, Pam Tabback and Karen Young.
Dump Cake: yellow cake mix, 20oz can crushed pineappel, 20 oz can cherry pie filling, 1 cup chopped pecans, 1 stick butter. Preheat oven 350 degrees and grease 13x9x2 pan. Dump undrained pineapple into pan, dump pie filling over pineapple--spread evenly, dump dry cake mix. Sprinkle pecans on top, slice butter on top. Bake approximately 50 minutes and serve either warm or cool.
Pasta Dinner: Our annual Pasta Dinner will be held Friday, May 21st, in order to avoid the meatball-on-friday-in-Lent fiasco and steer clear or inclement weather! This event is not only a delicious fundraiser but a wonderful community event, as well. More information to follow.
