Blessings Blog

Posted by tascyouthgroup on April 28, 2008 at 10:20 AM

Hey everyone,

So here we are with the first post of our Blessings Blog.  For any of you that were not there on Sunday night, we're starting this blog site as a place to post things we see as blessings throughout the week or places where we see God each day.  Let's remember to keep this a positive site, no negative comments, no putting anyone down and no crazy stories that would be seen as off topic or inappropriate...you all know where I'm going with this.  ;)  So have fun, praise God and enjoy life!  We're looking for it to rain AND pour positive thoughts and praise to Jesus!!

:) jen :)

Well, peeps...after creating this blog, I certainly needed it today. Not that it was the worst day...things can ALWAYS be worse...but it was a frustrating and spiritually tiring day. So I decided that my positive moment was when I realized that while waiting for the spare garage sale pick ups (7 hours late) I was able to get all of my paperwork done that I necessarily wouldn't have. <br>And I saw God in Paul when he called, after knowing what my day was like and how late I was running, and offered to take me out to dinner so I wouldn't have to cook or clean....ahhhhhhh! So thoughtful! God is good! <img alt="smile" src="http://images.freewebs.com/Images/Smilies/Round/smile.gif"&g

thought this was nice: <br> <br>If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.He sends you flowers every spring. He sends you a sunrise every morning. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

<b></b><span style="color:indigo;"></span>So this might sound bad at first but it ended up good. My softball team for Mary Help lost our first game in the league so now we are 8 and 1. The other team clinched 2nd and we are still first. Granted before yesterday we were undefeated but the loss taught us that we need to be more of a team and that we aren't invincible so we nee to keep up the hard work because we don't want to let it crumble underneath us.

How sweet the sunshine after rain, <br> And sweet the rest that follows pain, <br>But sweeter far His face to see, <br> The Son of God who died for me. <br> <br>But not until He calls me home, <br> No, not till then will I behold <br>The Saviour who did die for me, <br> And bore my sins on Calvary. <br> <br>He suffered, bled and died alone, <br> Alone, alone for you and me, <br>Could I for shame reject such love, <br> A sacrifice from God above? <br> <br>I do accept His sacrifice, <br> Will serve Him now for evermore. <br>For only such a Friend as he, <br> Could pardon, cleanse and make me free. <br> <br>If you receive His pardoning grace, <br> You'll meet Him yonder face to face, <br>And have a home in Heaven above <br> Where all is joy and peace and love. <br> <br>Then when around God's throne we meet <br> And lowly bow at Jesus' feet, <br>A song of praise we'll ever sing <br> To Christ, our Saviour, Lord and King. <br> --Ruby McKenzie <br> <br>my god be with you <br>

As carly said I'm not sure if i could ask for prayers.. but i'm sure multiple people know about this... Connor Corish, a freshman at Don Bosco died on Friday May 9 after being hit by a train in nanuet. His friend Chris Cipolli was also hit and he is now in critical condition... I would like everyone to pray for both boys families and especially Chris to give him strength to survive

Had a great time at the Youth Rally '08! The day rocked! We are so blessed to have the ability to run such an event, it is a first in our diocese that I know of for over 15 years! God definitely blessed us with a great day, a great time, great friends and a great youth group family! Hope you all liked the burgers and dogs.... <br> <br>^oo^

I'm still in shock that rally '08 is over!!! It was such an amazing day...completely graced by God and the Lord was truly at work!! What a powerful ;) time together and what a blessing in Fr. Geoff, Andy and Adam. I can't thank Paul, Lynne, Jerry, Mike and Mary enough for all of their help throughout this ENTIRE process. You guys are 100% Christ to me in the way your care, love and give of yourselves. I learn from you all each day and my heart is so full from this weekend..............GOD IS GOOD!!!! <br> <br><img alt="smile" src="http://images.freewebs.com/Images/Smilies/Round/smile.gif"&g

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.' Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear. Someone will call you by phone or will speak to you about something thatyou were waiting to hear.
